Advanced+ level all-mountain
skier Heyman's rating of this ski:
Considering his skiers profile:
"A true all-mountain ski is as good off-piste as it is on-piste. Stiff enough to remain stable at top speed, flexible enough for comfort in poor circumstances. It is essential that the perfect all-mountain ski performs well in all conditions."
My favourite all-mountain skis:
1. Armada TST
2. Nordica NRGy 100
3. Atomic Vantage Ritual
To all my reviews
Grip, stability, float, comfort, everything
The Rossignol Experience 84 is a true all-mountain ski that performs well in all circumstances. On the groomers its outstanding edge grip makes you go through corners horizontally, your inside hand on the snow. At top speed the Experience 84 remains stable even though it is flexible enough to vary in radius, which makes it very playful. At moderate speed it keeps turning without effort. And in deep snow you float and turn easily. This ski is good at everything!
So the Rossignol Experience 84 is a compromise of all great characteristics of an all-mountain ski. And I'm certain that it will bring great pleasure to a vast range of skiers from intermediates to advanced, who are in search of one ski for the whole season that can do it all. But as compromises go, the Experience 84 isn't brilliant. Therefore I give it a 4 star rating.
